About Tri City
Partnership
We are a team of parents, family members of individuals with
special needs, self advocates, community members and professionals
who work with the disabled.
After a season of being very active and involved in our community and
our state, we are forced to slow things down a bit and are focusing primarily on
passing information on to families and agencies about all the wonderful
programs offered in our community.
Please contact Jessica If you have information
or events,
pertaining to the special needs population, that you would like included
on this website or emailed out to our list serv.
If you would like to be added
to our email list and receive email updates on upcoming events and
information, please contact us at

More about this program:
We have
partnered with Yavapai Community College to offer continuing education
to young adults with disabilities. The college has agreed to
include these classes in their current catalogs and mailings and offer
classroom space to us at $75.00 per student with a minimum of 8 students
enrolled. We will provide and train the instructors, develop the
courses and curriculum and offer scholarships to those who need one. We
are very excited to have a program, once again, offering these classes
to those individuals who otherwise would not be able to further their
education at the college level

Cost of
an average 6 week class through Yavapai College Community Education is
currently $75.00/student. This cost is prohibitive to many students,
based on their limited income and work status. We are attempting to
reduce the cost of these classes by approximately 50% (to $35/student)
by soliciting community charitable contributions, which would be
supervised through the Yavapai College Foundation. Your contribution
would be tax deductible and acknowledged in all our advertising as well
as the YC class catalogue.
What
You Can Do ~
Sponsor
a class ~ A donation of $400 will sponsor a class of 10 students for a 6
week session.
Sponsor
½ class ~ A $200 contribution will off-set the cost of 5 students
attending.
Donate
to our supply fund ~ Many classes (cooking, crafts, etc.) require
materials; which have often come from the teacher. Any donation would
be appreciated.

YOUNG LIFE CAPERNUAM
In Young Life Capernaum, we believe teens and young adults with
disabilities have the right to experience life as God intended it -
life lived to the full. This includes meaningful relationships, fun
and laughter, and adventure and acceptance. We believe that young
people with physical and developmental disabilities can and should
participate fully in activities that build self-esteem, challenge
their limits and help them discover their ability to do new things.
And, we believe that all adolescents deserve the opportunity to
explore a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Special Needs Christmas party
was a great success!
We had a lot of positive comments
about our change to the new format. We made it an “open house”
event, where families could come anytime between the hours of 2:00pm
and 5:00Pm and also opened it to all ages of individuals with
special needs and their families. Everyone enjoyed decorating
cookies, visiting with Santa and Hope-A-Long Cassidy, (The
delightful mascot of Horses with Heart), and picking out a small
gift from Santa’s workshop. We are already looking forward to next
year’s party.
A sincere thank you to
everyone who helped make our party a success. Humboldt Unified School

This is a wonderful chime choir group, offered to adults and young
adults with disabilities. Music is played from large charts and
everyone is assigned a numbered chime and follows along waiting to see
their # at which time they proudly ring their chime, when combined with
everyone else, a beautiful song is created. Emphasis is on gradual skill
development through gentle encouragement.
